Candy Cane Cookie Brownies

These festive holiday brownies are dotted with peppermint candy canes and Back to Nature Cookies - we love Classic Creme, but these would be extra tasty with Fudge Mint, Fudge Striped or Golden Creme Cookies, too!
Ingredients:
- 20oz boxed brownie mix
- ¼ cup apple sauce
- ¾ cup broken up Back to Nature Classic Creme Cookies (or any Back to Nature cookie you choose!)
- Candy Canes, crushed (to garnish)
Instructions:
- Mix the pre-made brownie batter according to the packaging instructions. In our case, we substituted and replaced the eggs the packaging called for with apple sauce.
- Once the boxed brownie batter is thoroughly mixed, add ⅓ of the crushed Back to Nature Classic Creme Cookies to the batter and mix in. Pour the batter into a greased or parchment-lined 8x8 baking pan. Garnish the top of the brownies with the remaining Back to Nature Classic Creme Cookies and peppermint candy canes. Bake according to packaging instructions.
- Remove from oven and let cool. Enjoy!
