Candy Cane Cookie Brownies

These festive holiday brownies are dotted with peppermint candy canes and Back to Nature Cookies - we love Classic Creme, but these would be extra tasty with Fudge Mint, Fudge Striped or Golden Creme Cookies, too!

Ingredients:

20oz boxed brownie mix
¼ cup apple sauce
¾ cup broken up Classic Creme Sandwich Cookies (or any Back to Nature cookie you choose!)
Candy Canes, crushed (to garnish)

Instructions:

Mix the pre-made brownie batter according to the packaging instructions. In our case, we substituted and replaced the eggs the packaging called for with apple sauce.
Once the boxed brownie batter is thoroughly mixed, add ⅓ of the crushed Classic Creme Sandwich Cookies to the batter and mix in. Pour the batter into a greased or parchment-lined 8x8 baking pan. Garnish the top of the brownies with the remaining Back to Nature Classic Creme Cookies and peppermint candy canes. Bake according to packaging instructions.
Remove from oven and let cool. Enjoy!
